Zao - Vegan Concealer

Zao concealer helps blend in imperfections, dark circles or puffiness as a corrective cream and provides coverage with a perfectly natural look. The stick format is easily transportable, allowing you to touch up any time during the day.

This newly reformulated concealer now has a vegan formula, using organic carnauba wax, candelilla wax and organic cocoa butter instead of beeswax.

Ingredients highlight:

Organic castor oil (RICINUS COMMUNIS (CASTOR) SEED OIL): This oil is emollient and so facilitates softer skin. It is also moisturising, increasing the water content of skin to keep it soft and smooth.

Organic carnauba wax (COPERNICIA CERIFERA (CARNAUBA) WAX): Secreted by leaves of a palm tree native to Brazil, this wax is a film-forming agent that protects skin via the production of a continuous film; this helps makeup to last for a longer duration.

Organic bamboo macerate (PHYLLOSTACHIS BAMBUSOIDES RHIZOME EXTRACT): Bamboo macerate is extremely rich in organic silica, required by the body for the production of collagen, the body's anti-ageing weapon. Our bodies require silica to maintain elasticity of the upper layers of the epidermis.

This product, as with all Zao products, is free from talc and parabens (synthetic preservatives), using instead micronised silver as an effective and non-toxic preservative. Zao does not use nanoparticles in their products, with the micronised silver being larger than nanoparticle size, making Zao products safe and free from toxic chemical preservatives.

Instructions for use: The Zao Concealer is the indispensable first step to achieving a perfect complexion and eliminating imperfections. It comes in different shades to suit different skin tones, with its stick format allowing you to apply the product directly and locally. Select a shade one tone lighter than the colour of your skin. To soften dark under-eye circles, start at the inner corner of your eye, move along the edge of the dark circles and blend towards your lower lashes. For a fast finish, apply the corrector directly or on your finger; for a more precise application, use a brush. To minimise imperfections using your finger, apply the cover stick to the area to correct and dab around it to even out the complexion.

Zao beauty tip: To balance and clear up your complexion, apply concealer on blood vessels, redness on the nose or deep lines of expression.

To hide spots that stand out, choose a darker tone than your skin tone (fashion rule: dark thins = make-up rule: dark softens).
