ReNu Multi-purpose Solution is a gentle formula suitable for sensitive eyes.  ReNu Multi-purpose solution gently cleans, rinses, lubricates, disinfects and stores soft contact lenses. It helps keep sensitive eyes comfortable with a solution as gentle as ones natural tears.

ReNu Multi-purpose contact lens solution is compatible with silicone hydrogel contact lenses and it can be used in combination with all lens materials. For use as daily cleaner, rinse, and disinfecting agent.

Science behind the product 

Poloxamine attracts moisture to lenses while removing lipids and environmental debris, creating a layer of moisture between the lens and eye.

1. Results from an 11-investigator, multi-site clinical study of renu sensitive (ReNu^® MPS) and OPTI-FREE Express solutions in which a total of 256 subjects were enrolled wearing silicone hydrogel contact lenses (Bausch + Lomb PureVision^® contact lenses, CIBA Night & Dayy, CIBA O2OPTIX, ACUVUE Advance, and ACUVUE Oasys). Subject assessments were reported at the exit visit (two-month visit). Assessments were measured using a six-point Likert Scale in which 1= strongly disagree and 6= strongly agree. Results represent reported percentage agreement rating for completed and discontinued subjects.

2.Data on file. Results of in vitro study following FDA/ISO stand-alone procedures performed with the addition of organic soil to all test solutions to create a more rigorous test condition. Primary criteria for effective disinfection are defined as a reduction in the number of bacteria by a minimum of 3 logs (99.9%) and a reduction in the number of mold and yeast by a minimum of 1 log (90%) within the recommended disinfection time. All solutions passed FDA/ISO primary stand-alone standard testing without organic soil. ReNu MultiPlus, ReNu MPS, OPTI-FREE Express, OPTI-FREE RepleniSH, OPTI-FREE EverMoist, and Complete RevitaLens results from separate in vitro studies performed following identical test procedures.
